It's our job to care

I've always been pretty thankful to work with Salsa Labs, but never more so than this past week when I asked, "So… do you think it's okay if I take a couple hours to go to a local rally?" and Awesome Dave (that may or may not be his official title) responded, "Goodness, yes. Go."

As I listen to all the arguments against the rights of workers and unions here in Wisconsin, I notice a consistent theme: Me. From "Unions don't work for me," to "I've never had a union," to "I don't get those benefits, they should just stop whining," the majority of the arguments against workers' rights are made with our personal, immediate, individual benefits and situations in mind.

At Salsa, it is our job to care about more than just ourselves. From the work we do, the people and organizations we work with, and the state of our world, we are expected to support progressive causes and encouraged to take time to volunteer and be actively engaged with society.

How To Add a Custom Twitter Feed

Ever curious about adding a Twitter feed on to your site? Well, look no further!

When you add this in, make sure to fill in an image link at the top and put in your Twitter handle at the bottom. To see a great example of this in practice, check out the Virginia House Democratic Caucus's Salsa site, here: http://www.vahousedems.com/
