All in the DIA Family: Alternet Interviews FAIR Co-Founder

We'd be nothing but a referral page if we posted all the eyeball-worthy content churned out by DIA users Alternet and Fairness & Accuracy In Reporting, but yesterday's interview by Don Hazen of FAIR co-founder Jeff Cohen makes a great read -- on the Murdoch empire from inside the belly, the ecology and contradictions of corporate media, the prospects for the burgeoning but still badly outgunned independent media ... blessedly long on structure at the expense of blog2.0sphere fabulism.

Legislative Proletarianization

We've been looking for a convenient excuse to blog about th e Sunlight Foundation since its launch several months ago, and today it obliges with the debut of the Punch Clock Campaign.

Sunlight is all about nonpartisan transparency in government:  using the Internet's ability to abstract, aggregate, and disseminate information to subject government operations to greater public oversight and thence, goes the story, greater virtue.  Their page hosts a cornucopia of government-oversight resources and links.
