Bike to Work Day 2007

We often like to highlight the many fantastic events happening in the DIA community. Here's one many of us will be participating in: The Washington Area Bicyclist Association is hosting events for Bike to Work Day on Friday, May 18th. Thousands of commuters in the Washington area will ditch their cars and hop on their bikes to promote a healthy and fun alternative to driving. 24 “pit stops” around the city will offer food, entertainment, and chances to win bicycles and other prizes. Register with a pit stop location to be eligible to win prizes and get a free t-shirt! Commuter convoys taking place between 6am and 8am will show you the safest, fastest way to get to work by bicycle. Choose from 16 different routes, all led by experienced WABA volunteers who will provide safety and equipment tips. There is no registration for the commuter convoys, just show up on time.
