Salsa Weekly Highlight: Reorder form fields any way you likeSubmitted Thu Nov 11 2010 19:23:00 GMT-0500 (EST) by Adam
It's the "Salsa Weekly Highlight," your quick hit on what's new in Salsa to help get the most out of your online program. As always, you can find plenty more news, updates, and conversation throughout the week on SalsaCommons.org.
This week, we've implemented a feature I'm sure you'll be excited about: optional field reordering on all Salsa pages.
Reordering Fields on your Salsa pages
As of today, Salsa pages such as signup forms, donation pages, and anything else that registers supporter information can all display their requested fields to an end-user in any order you choose. In any Salsa tool's headquarters "Supporter Info" tab, you can opt out of the default field sequence and reorder fields to your own preference. Here's how:
1. Click the "Use Field Order Shown Below" box, and save.
2. Change the order of your saved fields by clicking the drag handle next to any field, and holding down your mouse button as you move it up or down the field list.
3. When the fields are ordered to your liking, click "save".
Both regular Salsa fields and Salsa custom fields are available to request, require, and reorder in any permutation or combination. I know a lot of folks will be pretty excited about this one, as I am too: there's no more need to build custom pages just to make Email the first field you solicit on a signup form!
