This week, we're unveiling a major upgrade to the system we use for handling user inquiries.

Welcome to Zendesk

Beginning tomorrow morning (Thursday, March 18), our support services will shift to a helpdesk tool called Zendesk. We've spent the past several months customizing and testing it, and I'm sure it's going to be a big hit.

What does the move to Zendesk mean for you?

• You can finally send and receive HTML email, rather than text only;
• It's fully integrated into SalsaCommons.org, allowing you to create and view your tickets with your existing campaign manager login;
• The bug submission interface automatically includes browser/system information, which will help us support you better.

First Phase

Our Zendesk migration will proceed gradually, to make sure everything is shipshape every step of the way.

Starting Thursday morning, support@salsalabs.com is the support address for all Salsa users. (I suggest you take a few seconds now to whitelist that email in your inbox.)

However, some of the Zendesk features won't be available for everyone in this initial phase.

Don't worry. We'll add the "login to view tickets" feature and other bells and whistles soon, and let you know how to use them once they're live.

I'm expecting a pretty seamless transition, and any existing support tickets you might have will be moved automatically. However, if you experience any difficulties at all, please don't hesitate to contact us.
