What: ACNJ will release its annual Summer Meals Update 2018, showing an increase in the number of children receiving meals in summer 2017.

Why: When school is out, hunger sets in for many New Jersey children who rely on school meals during the academic year. Federal summer meals programs help fill that nutrition gap, but many children lack access to these meals. This annual report tracks New Jersey's progress toward expanding summer meals, while bringing millions more federal dollars into New Jersey communities to feed hungry children.
