Trenton Mayor Eric Jackson and Interim School Superintendent Lucy Feria cordially invite you to attend the First Annual Trenton Food Summit scheduled for June 15 from 8:30 a.m.  to noon at the Trenton Board of Education Auditorium, North Clinton Avenue, Trenton.  (Breakfast and lunch will be provided.)

The summit will bring together local leaders to explore ways to team up to tap into available federal dollars to feed hungry children in Trenton throughout the year. You have been identified as an integral part of this exciting and critical effort.

The federal school breakfast, summer meals and afterschool snack/dinners are available to all children who qualify for free/reduced school meals. In Trenton, summer meals can be provided to all children, regardless of family income.

Trenton could claim an estimated $4 million in federal dollars for school breakfast and after-school and summer meals if city and school leaders and community organizations worked together to provide these meals to more hungry children. This summit is being organized by a diverse steering committee that includes the City of Trenton, the Trenton School District and community organizations.
