Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno will speak in support of school breakfast at the release of the 5th Annual NJ School Breakfast Report on Oct. 15 at 9:30 a.m. at the Fred W. Martin School, 59 Wilkinson Avenue, Jersey City. The report is produced by Advocates for Children of New Jersey (ACNJ) in partnership with the NJ Food for Thought School Breakfast Campaign.

EMBARGOED REPORTS AND LOCAL DATA ARE AVAILABLE NOW.

A photo-op of students eating breakfast in the classroom, with Jersey City Superintendent Marcia Lyles, ACNJ Director Cecilia Zalkind and other local, state and federal leaders, will be held at 8:30 a.m.

The report features new data that show New Jersey making continued progress on its historically low participation rate in the federal School Breakfast Program, identifies districts that are “school breakfast champs” and “underachievers” and provides district-level data for hundreds of NJ school districts.

For an embargoed copy and data for districts in your coverage area, contact Nancy Parello at nparello@acnj.org, (908) 399-6031 (cell).
