You’re invited to a free forum on juvenile justice reforms

As a participant in one of ACNJ’s Kids Count forums, we’d like to extend a special invitation to join us for an informative event focused on expanding juvenile justice reforms to ensure more youth get on a path to productive adulthood.

ACNJ, along with several partners, is hosting a free forum on March 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the National Conference Center Auditorium in East Windsor. (Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.). New Jersey has made great strides in reducing the number of youth in detention. Now it is time to build on that success. The forum will explore ways we can all work together to achieve that goal.

The forum will feature state and national leaders in juvenile justice and related fields, as well as renowned professor Laurence Steinberg, nationally-recognized for his research on adolescent brain development and Bart Lubow, director, Juvenile Justice Strategy Group, Annie E. Casey Foundation.

An interactive panel discussion will feature Juvenile Justice Commission Executive Director Kevin Brown, New Jersey Public Defender Joseph E. Krakora, Judge Glenn Grant, acting director of the Administrative Office of the Courts, Department of Children and Families Commissioner Allison Blake, Mr. Lubow and Dr. Steinberg. Be part of this important conversation.

Space is limited!  Register today for this free event!
