Dear Supporter,

Do you want to find out how many students are eating breakfast at school in your area and how we can increase student participation?

On Oct. 1, Advocates for Children of New Jersey will release the 3rd Annual Food for Thought School Breakfast report, with the latest data on student participation in this critical child nutrition program.

New U.S. Census data shows an alarming rise in the number of children living in low-income families. Providing school breakfast helps combat this growing child poverty and removes a major barrier to learning.

The event will be held at John Marshall Elementary School in Edison, which is now serving breakfast in the classroom in all its schools. Come learn how easy it is to feed hungry kids.

The Food for Thought School Breakfast Campaign is a partnership of state agencies, child advocates, anti-hunger coalitions, statewide education organizations and national organizations.
