Dear Supporter,

You are cordially invited to attend Advocates for Children of New Jersey’s release of our 3rd annual Food for Thought School Breakfast Report . The event will be held Oct. 1 at the John Marshall Elementary School in Edison, which is now providing classroom breakfast in nearly all of its schools. A continental breakfast will be served at 9:30 a.m., with the event beginning promptly at 10 a.m.

RSVP for this free event online today.

The report will feature new stats on how New Jersey schools are progressing toward improving their historically low rate of student participation in the federal School Breakfast Program. You will hear from Edison school staff on how breakfast in the classroom is working for students, teachers and the entire school community.

Research shows a good breakfast improves test scores and reduces discipline problems and trips to the school nurse. The annual report is a key component of ACNJ’s leadership of the NJ Food for Thought School Breakfast Campaign, which has brought together education, health and anti-hunger organizations to ensure that more children start their day with the fuel they need to concentrate and learn.

Please join us as we continue to give all children a solid chance for school success.

Register today!

The Food for Thought School Breakfast Campaign is a partnership of state agencies, child advocates, anti-hunger coalitions, statewide education organizations and national organizations.
