Hello Supporter,

How often do you hear politicians talking about kids?

Rarely.

That’s why Advocates for Children has just launched its What About the Kids? Campaign for the 2012 elections.

This year is particularly important. We will elect a president and a U.S. Senator, along with our 12 Congressional delegates, all charged with representing New Jersey in Washington. The campaign seeks to elevate children’s issues – early education, child protection, supports for working families – during candidates’ debates, on their websites, at campaign events and in the media.

We are asking you to help us ask one simple – yet critical question – What about the kids?

Learn more about the campaign, candidate info and key questions for candidates.

Sign the pledge to make kids an issue this election season.

Why is this important?

A recent report shows that in the 10 primary presidential debates held earlier this year, just 2 percent of questions centered on children’s issues. To make informed decisions, we need to know where candidates stand on children’s issues.

So please join us in asking the candidates: What About the Kids?

Sincerely,

Cecilia Zalkind
Executive Director
