Dear Supporter:

Advocates for Children of New Jersey is busy putting together this year’s Newark Kids Count. We are asking our Newark partners to help illustrate the report with pictures of Newark children.

Each year, Newark Kids Count presents a profile of child well-being in New Jersey’s largest city. The report measures both progress and challenges in key areas, including child poverty, health, safety and education.

Any photos published in the report will be credited to the photographer and/or organization supplying the photo. Parents of children pictured in any photo MUST sign an ACNJ release form, which allows ACNJ to use the photo in Newark Kids Count, on our website and in other publications.

We are looking for pictures of children in a variety of settings – home, school, playground, eating, exercising – all those things kids do! Pictures of diverse groups of children are especially welcome.

Photos must be submitted electronically via e-mail to nparello@acnj.org and received NO LATER than Nov. 23, 2011.

The following information must be provided in the email:
• Photographer's name, mailing address, telephone number and e-mail address

• Identifying information for each photo (subject name, age, date taken)

RELEASES MUST BE PROVIDED FOR EVERY CHILD IN THE PHOTO FOR IT TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR PUBLICATION.
You must use the ACNJ release form provided on our website. Releases can be scanned and e-mailed to nparello@acnj.org or faxed to (973) 643-9153. This release must be signed by the child(ren)’s parent or legal guardian.

Questions? Contact Nancy Parello at nparello@acnj.org or (973) 643-3876.

Sincerely,

Cecilia Zalkind
