New Visions - Israel's Emerging Changemakers
Join us for Part II of the New Israel Fund series that celebrates an emerging generation of bright and innovative activists rising to meet the challenges facing Israeli democracy today.
Change from Within: Law as a Tool for Social Change
NIF Law Fellows Samar Qudha Tannous and Carmel Pomerantz will discuss how activists are advocating for social change within Israel’s legal system. Moderated by Sandra Coliver of the Open Society Foundation, the conversation will explore the aspects of the Israeli judicial system that at times both empower and marginalize Israel’s most vulnerable populations.
When: Wednesday, May 22, 7pm
Where: NIF Offices, 330 Seventh Avenue, 11th Floor (at 29th St.)
Cost: $5, includes light refreshments
