Register for D.C. Nonprofit Tech Conference This Week

Just a reminder: Through Monday, you can register for N-TEN's 2007 Nonprofit Technology Conference at a $200 early-bird discount. (Be a pal and pick "DIA" from the "How did you hear?" menu, eh?) The sticker price is an absolute bargain, especially since it'll be a while before Beltway denizens can once again do this without airfare or per diems.
We're quite excited to have this event taking place in our own backyard and not only because it gives us an excuse to throw a bash of our own. (Details pending.)
For the city's dense concentration of nonprofits and consultants/advocates/networks of same, NTC is a wonderful opportunity to soak up a wealth of knowledge for almost any job description or level of current tech knowledge -- or nonprofit knowledge -- from zero to rock star. I still remember the eye-opening sensation the first time I attended one four years ago.
For those immersed day by day in nptech, perhaps, there's a rhythm of sameness about the space as a whole -- though even so, this is the marquee event of the year, and under new E.D. Katrin Verclas, who knows what surprises await? -- but especially if you've never been before, it's really worth the registration. I guarantee you'll learn something important that you never knew before, and meet dozens of amazing people.
By way of a teaser (and 40 minutes' interesting diversion), last year's keynote was venture funder Guy Kawasaki's variation of his "Art of the Start" stump speech, seen here at a different convention:
(N-TEN's 2006 NTC page has the actual version he delivered to the conference, along with some other conference highlights.)
