Salsa Weekly Highlight: New 'registration deadline' field for events

It's the "Salsa Weekly Highlight," your quick hit on what's new in Salsa to help get the most out of your online program. As always, you can find plenty more news, updates, and conversation throughout the week on SalsaCommons.org.
We've recently added a field to Salsa events to help those of you who need to cut off event registrations prior to the event itself. It's called the Registration Deadline.
The Registration Deadline field
You'll find this field under the Description tab in your headquarters event builder.
Just use the calendar date-picker to enter any date and time value.
Once that time passes (in U.S. Eastern time), the event page that users see will no longer display a registration form, but the message "The registration deadline for this event has passed."
This field is completely optional; if your event doesn't need a deadline, just leave the field empty in your headquarters.
As always, we'd love to hear about your experiences with this (or any) Salsa tool -- drop us a line at feedback@salsalabs.com with any comments.
