But it was people like us writing to and calling lawmakers that made the difference. And now retirement security for teachers, firefighters and other public employees is at risk again!

Illinois public employees pay toward their pensions from each paycheck. They earn their modest pensions and shouldn’t be punished for the mistakes of politicians who skipped payments.

To get involved, visit www.weareoneillinois.org or simply dial 888-412-6570 and follow the prompts. You will be connected with your state senator or representative. Tell them to do the right thing, say NO cutting the modest pensions earned by public employees who keep us safe, educate our children, care for the sick and disabled and more.
