Rhode Island has the second highest unemployment rate in the country.
Our elected leaders talk a lot about this crisis, but so far we haven't see a lot of meaningful action.
Where's the Work? is holding our state officials accountable. Join us and call for our leaders to fight for unemployed and underemployed workers NOW!
Dear Governor Chafee and members of the Rhode Island General Assembly,
I urge you to stand up for the unemployed and underemployed by passing legislation to create good jobs here in Rhode Island, eliminate barriers to employment, and adequately staff the state's Department of Labor and Training.
Currently there are some 63,000 jobless Rhode Islanders and many more who cannot find full employment, and they need you to take action. I urge you to fight for these common-sense reforms today!
