AB 2170 (Frazier): Urge Governor to Sign Bill for Goods Movement Funding Allocation

Take action today in urging Governor Jerry Brown to sign Assembly Bill 2170 (Frazier) into law. This legislation would allocate funding for critically important freight and goods movement projects throughout Southern California.

Assembly Bill 2170 (Frazier) will allocate a new source of federal funding for local freight and goods movement projects to the state’s Trade Corridor Improvement Fund (TCIF) which has so successfully leveraged $2 billion of voter approved (Prop. 1B) bond funds to deliver $6 billion of infrastructure projects. AB 2170 keeps the same program in place with an opportunity to update program guidelines early next year so these new federal dollars can be invested as soon as possible into the most critically needed freight projects throughout Southern California and across the state. This investment in our infrastructure will create immediate good jobs and have a positive ripple effect through the Southern California economy.
