Examining School Attendance in Newark

Please join us for the release of Showing Up Matters: Newark Chronic Absenteeism in the Early Years. This report examines the issues that contribute to a high rate of chronic absenteeism among Newark’s youngest students. Regular school attendance is a critical factor in determining a student’s school success.

The presentation of the report’s findings and recommendations will be followed by a panel discussion aimed at identifying effective strategies to improve school attendance for Newark students.
