Human Rights in Israel series, June 25th, 8:30am - Yuval Yavneh, New Israel Fund




We are pleased to host Yuval Yavneh, Grants Director for the New Israel Fund, Israel, for the third part of our Human Rights in Israel Series. Yuval will provide an 'insider' look at the NIF grantmaking process, and how we are working to promote democracy and human rights in an increasingly challenging climate.

Please arrive by 8:30am. A light breakfast will be available at 8:15am

Yuval Yavneh is Associate Director of the New Israel Fund and Director of the Grants and Programs Department. He has been at the NIF for 18 years. He began his tenure in the grants department, where he worked in three issue areas – the Environment, Jewish and Arab coexistence and Pluralism until 2010, when he moved to his current position.

Yuval is also an accomplished writer and musician. He has published three prize-winning collections of short stories and his bands have recorded four albums in contemporary music, much of which he composed.  Yuval holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Philosophy from the Hebrew University.
