Parlor Meeting with Founder of Desert Stars– Matan Yaffe

Please join us to learn about Desert Stars – an exciting and innovative leadership and social entrepreneurship incubator for young Bedouin in the Negev, and an NIF grantee. Matan Yaffe, the founder and director of Desert Stars, established this project in 2013 to strengthen relations between Jews and Bedouin in the Negev and create a new generation of leaders in Israel’s Bedouin community.

Working in partnership with leading Arab and Jewish figures in education and business, and local political leadership in the Negev,Desert Stars brings promising Bedouin youth into a multi-year, intensive educational and leadership development program. This evening offers a wonderful opportunity to hear directly from Matan about the challenges facing Bedouin youth in the Negev and the critical need to provide them with access to higher education and good jobs in order to create a more just, equal, and shared society in the Negev and a better Israel for all its citizens.
