Attorney Michael Sfard represents many of Israel’s leading human and civil rights organizations. As a prominent voice against the Occupation and anti-democratic legislation, he has been the target of numerous attacks and smear campaigns by right-wing groups. Libby Lenkinski is VP of Public Engagement for the New Israel Fund, the leading organization advancing democracy, equality, and social justice in Israel. Panelists will discuss the role of Israel’s human rights defenders in light of the dominance of the right wing in Israel, the strengthening of ultra-nationalist movements, and the 50th anniversary of the Occupation.
The panel is part of the Mosaic Theater's Voices From a Changing Middle East Festival
