Attorney Michael Sfard represents many of Israel’s leading human and civil rights organizations, and as a prominent anti-Occupation voice in the public sphere, he has been the target of more than one smear campaign. Sfard will discuss the role of Israel’s human rights defenders through the lens of the 50th anniversary of the Occupation, the election of Donald Trump, and the continuing dominance of the right wing in Israel. We’ll also learn what Americans can do to support Israeli human rights efforts, and Sfard’s vision for Israel’s future direction. A profile of Michael Sfard in the New York Times is here.
