A reception and conversation with Idit Menashe, Legislative Advisor for NIF/Shatil's Center for Policy Change

Idit Menashe, Legislative Advisor, Shatil Center for Policy Change
At Shatil's Center for Policy Change. Idit promotes, in collaboration with assorted organizations, transparency and public participation in the Knesset and the government; works with the Coalition for Gender Equality in the IDF to combat the exclusion of women; and leads advocacy efforts to promote microfinance opportunities for disadvantaged women.

Before joining Shatil, Idit worked for five years at the Knesset as a parliamentary assistant to MK Nitzan Horowitz and to former MK Ran Cohen, both from Meretz Party. She holds a B.A. in Behavioral Sciences and an M.A. in Public Policy.

Shatil is an initiative of the New Israel Fund which provides almost 1,500 nonprofit organizations with consulting services, training, coalition-building assistance, and general support. Shatil also reaches out to disadvantaged populations – such as new immigrants, Arab Israelis and residents of development towns – to help them realize their rights and play an active role in determining the policies that affect their lives.
