Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation Director Josh Gotbaum will join the competition for the title of Washington’s Funniest Celebrity!

In what is certain to be a can’t-miss event, Washington policymakers and celebrities will duke it out in the 19th Annual Funniest Celebrity Contest to see who has the best comedic chops. The Pension Rights Center is proud to be a beneficiary of what will be this year’s landmark sidesplitting event.

In addition to Josh, the other policymakers and celebrities scheduled to appear include:

  • Candy Crowley of CNN will throw out the evening’s ceremonial first joke
  • Matt Cooper of the National Journal will be the evening’s MC
  • Congressman Mike Honda, a Democrat of California  
  • Elahe Izadi of the National Journal
  • Ralph Nader, consumer activist
  • Dan Nainan will be the evening’s headlining comedian
  • Grover Norquist, libertarian activist
  • Clarence Page, Chicago Tribune columnist  
  • Jaime Weinstein, of the Daily Caller and last year’s Funniest Celebrity

The reception begins at 6 p.m. The celebrity contest begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $200 per person. Sponsorships start at $2,500 (8 tickets and publicity).

The event will take place on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at the DC Improv Comedy Club, located at 1140 Connecticut Avenue, NW.
