It's difficult to imagine that, six years after the publication of Dow 36,000,* one could forget to take a chill pill on cyber-hype ... but now that's it's estranged itself somewhat from neo-liberal eschatology and capitalist swagger, it's been free to migrate to a gentler, more transcendent avatar.

Hey, there are plenty of reasons for legitimate excitement. Just keep it in perspective.
