'Warcraft' Sequel Lets Gamers Play A Character Playing 'Warcraft' Via Infocult, who remarks:

Consider it the flipside of people building copies of real-world spaces not really suited to collaboration. Or a dramatization of the problems getting people to view the web through a 3d lens.

Personally, I'm inclined to a wider-ranging reading than one strictly limited to Web3D.
